Acupuncture is an ancient healing practice and an integral component of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). It involves the insertion of very thin, sterile, disposable needles into the skin to stimulate certain points near the surface of the body. Qi is the energy that flows through your body, when Qi is blocked or imbalanced this causes illness or pain. Needling Acupuncture points helps to move and unblock Qi, the stimulation causes a healing response as well as a release of natural chemicals such as endorphins, the body’s natural pain killers. Acupuncture treatments can be used to maintain overall wellness including stress management, studies have shown that it can be an effective treatment alone or in combination with conventional therapies. Many conditions can be helped with Acupuncture some of these conditions are: Back pain, knee pain, neck pain, shoulder pain, nausea, digestive issues, anxiety, depression, menstrual cramps, headaches, migraines, sciatica and arthritis.
